YOUTH THREADS

Youth Flow

Exhibition Introduction

Youth is enriched in the flow and finds its shape through exploration.

"Youth Threads" is an exhibition bringing together youth creativity and design perspectives. Threads symbolizes the interwoven creative pathways of young people while echoing the familiar social media culture of our time. Each piece of work is an idea shared; each interaction is an opportunity for that idea to spark further inspiration. As creativity flows through connection, collision, and co-creation, a distinct youthful stream that belongs to the new generation take shape.

This exhibition gathers entries from Taoyuan high schools, vocational schools, and universities, the Taoyuan Design Award, and the ADA ISDW 2026 (Taiwan-Japan-Korea International Student Design Workshop). It charts the growth of young design talent from local cultivation to international exchange, showcasing Taoyuan's innovative energy as a city empowering youth design.

The key visual places young students at its core, extending into twelve "Taoyuan Elements" that symbolize the spirit of youth. Rendered as inflatable balloons, they represent qualities such as dreams, curiosity, exploration, creativity, learning, exchange, courage, and honor. Just as balloons fill out and take shape when inflated with air, young people absorb nourishment and accumulate energy through every observation, dialogue, and creative endeavor, allowing their ideas to gradually take shape. These twelve elements serve both as an epitome of the creative youth journey and a symbol of creative energy flowing continuously across Taoyuan—connecting with one another to ultimately form a vibrant landscape of Taoyuan's youth design.
