In our contemporary phygital landscape, cities are no longer simply constructed but shaped through endless computation. Everyday actions like swiping, commuting, and consuming continuously generate our environment and collective future. Viewing the city as an open system, "TAOYUAN RE:CODE" translates energy consumption, carbon emissions, and daily routines through computation, reshaping the dynamics between humans and the urban environment.
Beginning with Collective Computation, the exhibition transforms visitor choices into city-scale data pulses. Moving into Dynamic Computation, it presents Taiwan's industrial carbon footprint as the heavy reality of our world, while demonstrating how individual lifestyle and digital carbon-reduction choices can become a catalyst for change. Extending into Actionable Computation, it turns every decision into an input that alters the final outcome.
This system is an ongoing experiment. Through reflection, choice, and action, we recode the city's pathway to a net-zero future.
