Description

Supported by the Department of Industrial Technology under the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Taiwan Design Research Institute and the Stone & Resource Industry R&D Center collaborated with Lotos to jointly develop C-STONE marble coating. This innovative material is made from stone sludge from Hualien, and can help promote circular material innovation for the local industry. This year, they have further developed C-STONE granite molding clay, exploring three-dimensional applications of recycled stone sludge materials. Their goal is to create modular, solid building bricks and provide low-carbon, cement-free green construction materials. The exhibition will feature C-STONE marble coating, and by extension a R2R coating experience toolkit, as well as the first brick-form granite molding clay. We cordially invite you to join us for the demonstration.

LOTOS

LOTOS is a spin-off company founded by the research team from the Civil Engineering and Materials Laboratory at National Cheng Kung University's Civil Engineering Department. Their mission is to promote a reservoir sludge modification technology they developed. Since 2008, LOTOS has changed it course from academia to industry, and become a specialized company in recycling and repurposing sludge and surplus construction soil. Taking academic resources and practical experience as its competitive edge, the company enhances interdisciplinary integration while strengthening on-site validation. To ensure sustainability, LOTOS launches innovative products that address environmental issues in order to fulfill corporate social responsibility. With a shared strategy and sustainable operation in mind, LOTOS pursues "orange technology" for sludge treatment, aiming to realize a vision of coexistence, mutual growth and shared prosperity.
